Ceramic & Talavera Care

Mexican Talavera is a ceramic and clay based product. Sinks made from clay are the oldest on the market, are very durable, have an easy to clean finish, and won't rust, fade, or discolor. With reasonable care, these sinks should last for a lifetime. Read the guide below for tips on cleaning Talavera sinks.

Benefits of Talavera

While they look delicate, their surfaces offer excellent resistance. Talavera sinks won't rust, fade, or discolor.

Care and Maintenance

You can use just soap and water, and that is it. No extra care it is needed. However, if you live in a hard water area, frequent cleaning is recommended. Use of a mild cleanser will maintain the glossy finish.

Resistance

We have improved the resistance of our talavera Sinks, making our sinks more resistant than most talavera sinks. Still, a talavera sink is a fragile item, so you need to take some precautions.

Precautions

Be careful not to drop very heavy or sharp objects in them. Because they are fragile, talavera sinks can be chipped and broken if abused. Also, we do not recommended pouring boiling water into a talavera sink or using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
